Better Eyesight - Is Lasik Surgery Be the Best Way Or Another Way Better Without Any Dangerous?
By Adams Hernandez
Better eyesight with surgery can be a question, if you dare take the risk of jumping from an airplane using a parachute? Ask an optometrist to a patient. He had just asked the doctor removed his glasses and his eyesight corrected through lasik surgery or laser-assisted in keratomileusis (one method of correcting refractive disorders for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and cylinder). millions of North Americans to do the procedure and satisfied with the results. However, the current Food and Drug Administration (FDA) wants a strong warning to the material information to patients about the effects of complications. Exactly the same problem with the parachute failed to open, could have been adverse surgical complications.
Lasik surgery permanently changes the curvature of the cornea, the clear membrane that is located at the front of the eyeball and translucent. A laser device is used to make the incision flap (layer) on the cornea, leaving part of the flap is still attached at the end of the cornea. Then the computer laser vaporize tissue under the flap and then the flap is returned to its original position. Satisfactory results would be so interesting, who does not like a better vision without the use of contact lens or glasses. But so much written about the benefits of lasik surgery that it would be prudent for prospective patients to understand the potential risks.
After surgery, the flap that had been sliced in the cornea and then returned to the original position, may be shifted, causing the problem. The possibility of infection will also occur anytime, anywhere in the incision is made in the body. This may require intensive treatment and may eventually cause temporary vision loss or even permanent blindness. And it is important to remember that the laser machine tool may not always do what they should do. Some patients suffer side effects that damage the quality of their vision has even improved vision acuity. For example, although the eye sight test chart (a test to measure sharpness of vision) showed good results, some patients still can not see in light conditions with low contrast, such as when driving at night or in foggy conditions.
In one study, 41 percent of patients have good vision in the daytime, but some have lost their vision at night. In another study, people who have short-distance vision (short-sighted) who undergo laser surgery, 80 percent can not see the traffic signs at a distance of 15 cars, and 40 percent do not see the traffic signs at a distance of 4 cars. This is worrying, as a drunken driver. But with millions of people who undergo lasik surgery, need to be asked how many trips will be conducted at night. Moreover, laser surgery can not stop aging, and for the size of our age, night vision, of course, has experienced a decline. This leads to blow (double-whammy). Some post-surgery patients had suffered a loss of quality vision problems such as double vision, or complain of such a blinding circle of light on vision.
May also occur less professional actions or excessive treatment of patients, produce less than 20/20 vision. In one study, 36 percent of those who did surgery on both eyes still need glasses. Other reports claimed that 2 per cent from 10 per cent of people still need glasses after lasik surgery. Others suffer from dry eye syndrome. In this case, the eye is not able to produce enough tears to keep the eye moist. This not only causes discomfort, but sometimes also through obscurity, and this can be a permanent problem since the eye will continue to need regular eye drops.
So what does all this mean? This column is not intended to frighten people who want to perform lasik surgery. This is more of an expression that is wise for patients to follow the advice of the Roman era which has proven its effectiveness in the long term (time-tested), ie "please investigate before you buy" let the buyer be careful. Only, you must be a patient who fully understand the information before agreeing to lasik surgery. And anyone who tells you that there will be no complications, is a liar or a fool.
Decisions even more difficult when lasik surgery is only for convenience rather than out of necessity, given that the majority of cases end with good results. the problem is, you will not know when a rare complication will occur. It is a terrible day when loss of vision occurs simply because you want to get rid of glasses. So you should always be willing to accept the risks when considering lasik surgery. Do not forget that on rare occasions, even a perfect parachute fails to open any can. Better eyesight can still be felt in other ways, namely by eyesight exercises, with the right methods and handling of the expert, you can throw away your glasses without surgery.

Bates Method For Better Eyesight - Improve Your Eyesight Naturally
Bates Method For Better Eyesight - Improve Your Eyesight Naturally
By Selin Aydoshan
William Bates dedicated a life time of research to improving people's eyesight by natural means through understanding and eye exercises. Today, whilst many people use his methods, it still isn't a mainstream treatment - if you go to an Optician then they may give you a couple of eye exercises to do in the first instance, but more often than not you'll be prescribed a pair of glasses.
Glasses Aren't The Best Option
Glasses only cover the problem and in reality make the eyes worse in the long run. When you use glasses you are using a man made device to refract light - the job that the eye is supposed to do. If you assist it in such a manner, the eye becomes lazy and the muscles that were already sub-optimal get even weaker. That's why it's very common for people who wear glasses to have eyesight that deteriorates over the years. It's a very "short-sighted" approach to eye care. What really rubs salt into the wounds is that you'll be paying on average around $500 per year for the rest of your life for the privilege of making your eye sight worse.
Laser Surgery is Like Russian Roulette with your Eyes
There's no doubting that laser eye surgery is quite a step forward in optical technology and hats off to whoever invented the machine, however it does have negatives. The problem with LASIK surgery is that the negatives, whilst uncommon, are very serious, life changing negatives that could leave you blinded, partially sighted, with blurred vision or a recurring infection. Whilst the odds of this happening are slim, it does still happen and that's enough to scare me away from ever going for this kind of operation. What's more you'll have a much lighter wallet as a typical operation on both eyes will cost you somewhere in the region of $5,000.
Your Final Option is to Use Natural Ways to Improve your Eyesight
William Bates' method covers two main sections.
Firstly, you'll be taught how your eye should be used and when you're using your eyes wrongly. For instance, you shouldn't ever focus in on an object for longer than a second because this actually damages your vision - our eyes are designed to be constantly moving - concentrating on one single point is bad for you. Of course having used our eyes for however many years, it takes a while to get rid of bad habits, so there are exercises for this.
Secondly, you'll be taught how to strengthen the muscles in the eyes and correct vision problems such as short and long sightedness, lazy eye and blurred vision. These exercises should be done for a few minutes on a daily basis and you'll start to see improvements by the end of the first week.
The great thing about natural eye improvement is that you'll arm yourself with the knowledge to look after your eyes and strengthen them when necessary, it will cost you nothing, there aren't any health risks and you'll be happy to know that your eyesight isn't going to degenerate over time. It's when you consider all these points that you start to realise that it's definitely worthwhile giving natural vision correction a try, because you have nothing to lose and everything to win.
